2 Years of Wonderful

I love my husband.

I love being a wife.

Marriage is the best. Life. Ever.

I can't believe how lucky I got.

I'm SO glad I've had him for 2 years now and thank goodness I have him forever!

I'm currently getting all dolled up for our hot date tonight. Pictures coming soon.

Dear Trevor: I love you more than you know.
Thank you for putting a smile on my face all. The. Time.
Thank you for being so fun.
Thank you for making me feel good about myself.
Thank you for working hard.
Thank you for being adorable with kids and making me excited for our own every day.
Thank you for listening to my ramblings about everything all the time.
Thank you for making it easy to love you more every day.
Thank you for walking me home from class so many times.
Thank you for taking out the trash when it's cold outside, and for doing the dishes when they are gross (and when they aren't, let's be real).
Thank you for always being the one to fill the car with gas and scrape the windows.
Thank you for being the first thing I wake up to every day, and the last thing I see before I go to sleep.
Thank you for holding my hand whenever we walk.
Thank you for kissing me on the forehead.
Thank you for being wonderful and perfect and amazing and everything good.

I love you, I love you, I love you!

Love, Wifey

Part 1: Las Vegas!

For the past 5 days, we have been partying in Las Vegas with Trevor's family. Warm, sunny Las Vegas. Aah!
Unfortunately, I was a 100% failure at taking pictures. SHAME! Hopefully I can steal some from family members (ahem, Whitney!), but for now...

I'm pretty sure my sister in law Audrey and I could shop every day and never get sick of it. We went out Monday, Tuesday, AND Wednesday (and finally, on Wednesday, shopped for people other than ourselves... oops.) I love that girl. SO glad I picked up 2 amazing automatic sisters when I married into Trevor's family!
Ping pong. Trevor and his family are ping pong masters. I can't even kind of hang with them. BUT, it was fun pretending.

Delicious food everywhere! No explanation needed.

Date night with Ronnie, Shannon, and Audrey to see Sherlock Holmes! And the theaters in Las Vegas are always SO empty. I love it.

We got to play with sweet baby Dexter and his fabulous parents Kyle and Whitney. The are so great and we LOVE that little man!

Neighborhood Christmas party! The next door neighbor had everyone on Trevor's street over. So fun and I loved putting faces with the houses I see all the time! Also, Kacey came, which was fabulous :)

Last night we exchanged Christmas presents with Trevor's parents and siblings. We are so spoiled!

This morning, we woke up at 3:30 a.m. to catch our 6:00 a.m. flight to Kansas City! After a long nap, we are back to life here in Kansas. Hopefully I'll take more pictures of this part!

Christmas 2011

We have officially traded the freezing cold of Provo for Warm and sunny Las Vegas for the next 4 days. It's glorious. Ready for the rest of this crazy winter vacation?

Thursday morning: Flying to Kansas until Wednesday the 28th.

Wednesday the 28th: Driving to Dallas.

January 3rd: Trevor flies back to Las Vegas then drives to Provo. I'm sticking around to party with my sister and her children until the 12th. (I'll miss you Trevor!)

See you in a month, Utah!

Looking forward to...
Christmas!
2 year anniversary! (OLD)
Some time with the in-laws whom I adore
SISTER TIME!
Lots of late nights
Shopping
Training for/running a race
New Year's
Date nights
Playing with the babies
Relishing in all my graduated glory
Job searching (not so much looking forward to this one)
Sleeping
That feeling that I'm NOT going back to school on January 4th!

I love vacation.
And Christmas!
Especially when I can breathe when I walk outside.

Merry Christmas!

Taking a Break + Happy Birthday

First of all: Happy birthday today (Wednesday- I'm writing this 45 minutes late) to my wonderful mother! My mom is my hero! She is an angel and I love her more than anything! I hope it was wonderful, Mom!

Tonight, because the hubs pulled an all nighter last night and needed a break, and because we had free ticket vouchers from a Christmas gift last year that expire at the end of this year, and because we are madly in love, we decided to leave the dishes, laundry, and studying (for him) behind and go to a movie.

Only 2 other couples in the entire theatre.

2 and a half full hours of cuddle time.

No studying for Trevor.
For me, however, school is now nonexistent. :)

Nothing beats an easy night out with my favorite guy. And really, who even cares if the movie wasn't that fantastic?

Love my Trevor.

Middle Part.

In junior high, I remember having an in-depth conversation about middle parts with a lady I babysat for. (Now let's keep in mind that I was at the peak of my extremely long and painful awkward stage. But that's a story for another day.) We decided that it pointed STRAIGHT to your nose and was in no way flattering. This is when I switched to a side part and left my hair there forever. I just have never been able to bring myself to part my hair down the middle.

Until Saturday.

I tried it. First time since 8th grade. Sent my sister a picture asking if I could show my face in public.

It was fun doing something different, but I still haven't made up my mind about it. I think if I can keep it from going super flat on top, I'd feel a lot better about it. I know, I know. My life decisions are really rough.

How do you feel about middle parting your hair?

Also, t minus 5 days until Christmas Extravaganza 2011 begins. So excited I can hardly stand it!

Dream On

For Christmas this year we will most likely be making each other something like cereal jewelry and love letters. But just for fun... here's a little dreamworld Christmas list:

Essie nail polish in Chinchilly and Turquoise & Caicos
Downeast Basics Sleek Sequin Skirt in black

Fossil Stella Stainless Steel Rose Watch

Food Dehydrator- because I could eat dried strawberries and apples till I die
Michael Kors Alani Boots

Still undecided on the running shoes, but I'm liking the look of these Nike's

Via pinterest. Love this combo.

Anyone who knows me knows I'm a big time bargain shopper and there is no way I would spend over $100 on a pair of boots. But a girl can dream :)

Grandma's Christmas Party

We LOVE our Grandma and she LOVES her kids and we LOVE our cousins!
Grandma is 87 years old and does more cool things than I do. She is always reading and learning, making elaborate quilts, and serving everyone. That woman is my hero!
Last Sunday was her annual Christmas party. I'm so glad I've been able to go to it the last few years since I've lived close to her! Some of the cousins even make a 3+ hour journey (Ashley and Chase + three kids under the age of 5) and we are so glad they made it!
Delicious dinner, gift exchange, and lots of laughing with the fam are the best ways to celebrate the season.
And OH. MY. GOSH. My cousins have cute babies.

Thank you, cousins, for letting me be the crazy baby lady who steals kids the whole time. It made my day.
XOXO

The Final Finals

Because I'M GRADUATING FROM COLLEGE!

I am graduating from college.

The next two weeks will contain
1 low stress take-home final,
2 short papers,
One massive internship project being turned in,
and a giant sigh of relief. Or a lot of them.
Ahhh :)

Now the big question: How the heck am I supposed to be a big girl now?
More on this later.

For now... Looking forward to a little bit of this:

Thanksgiving With the Hansens

Thanksgiving was wonderful.
We talked till all hours of the night,
laughed uncontrollably multiple times,
shopped,
loved the warm weather,
ate so much pie,
made crafts,
and partied Hansen style.
Baby Dexter was the star of the weekend.
Hansen family tradition: golfing the day after Thanksgiving!

We LOVE cuddling Dexter. He was turning his head around so funny. It was cracking me up.
Dexter loves his uncle Trevor! And Trevor loves his nephew :)
Adding layers of de-lish jello
It was seriously JUST what we needed before this last two and a half weeks before the end of the semester- and for me, the end of my college career!! I. Am. So. Ready.

Also, we decorated for Christmas!! Love, love, love this time of year. I can't get enough of the Christmas music and lights everywhere.

I love the holidays!
