Kansas Lovin Part 2

Mmm... I love that place.

I just spent 2 WHOLE WEEKS in my green and humid and wide open and stormy and perfect Kansas, and I just couldn't get enough. Originally I was going to be there by myself because Trev was getting some observation hours done at the hospital, but he missed me too bad and decided to fly out for the second week and drive home with Garrett and me. Good choice Trevor :).

We helped my mom get a lot of things done around the house, which was nice to get done for her. Besides that,
we swam,
watched movies,
stayed up way too late,
took long runs on straight roads with no stop lights,
went on "nature walks in the jungle" as my sweet Las Vegas born and raised hubby calls them (a.k.a. walks on trails in the woods),
visited some of my favorite dance team girls
and the girls I used to babysit,
took naps,
played Mario Kart (duh),
took family pictures,
ate good food,
and just soaked it all in.

Fab 5 Reunion!!! I love these girls.

Colton's first birthday cake!
The biggest pizza on the planet
$4 at goodwill, score.
Sedona, and it was even her birthday!!
I started babysitting Makena when I was 11 and she was 1 and she is now almost 12. ALSO she is one inch shorter than me.
Jaxon has the best outfits ever.
I love my brother!
It was so beyond wonderful to be home! But real life starts back up tomorrow... have I mentioned that this is my last semester of my college career? Because it is. :)
p.s. Family pictures coming soon!! I love them.
XOXO

Kansas!

I'm HOME!! For 2 whole weeks!! Ahhh... I can't believe it's been over 2 years since I've spent this much time at home. I'm loving it. But I'm definitely missing my better half. Can't wait for him to get here on Monday!

The first day I got here, we painted. Confession: I have never painted a room before. Embarrassing. But I guess there's a first time for everything. Also my painting outfit is really cool. You don't have to tell me. I already know.
This is when Garrett was making fun of me for smearing the roller sideways across the wall. In my defense, they told me to roll it sideways first then spread the paint around. I just didn't get the "roll" part.

All of us painting... Sarah and I played wangsters in Garrett's work shirts so we wouldn't get ours dirty. Thanks for taking one for the team, Garrett.
Sarah and I were extra domestic and made a bunch of freezer meals for my mom. Sarah thinks of the best ideas. Someday I will be as cool as her.

Sarah's face.
At the beginning of the week, Sarah, my Mom, and I went to St. Louis. I love girl time with my mom and sister. We shopped, ate, slept, talked, and played... what more can you ask for?

#1 worst parking lot ever. I can't believe they have the nerve to charge $4.

Posing for Madison
St. Louis Temple
I am loving being home. Tonight I got to see my girls (pictures to come) and there was a huge storm. I even got to go to my dentist today... fun?

I Am Brave

... a.k.a. I finally got the guts to do something every girl has done by this age (and most have done by 16)... I got highlights!
A lot. of. them.
AND I love it!
Thank you Carlie for being a hair master.

We also got to go see one of my favorite cousins and uncles of all time this weekend at my Grandma's house! SO fun... and we love Grandma.

And my good news of the day: NO MORE FINALS! It's officially over, and I'm ecstatic.
Hello 2 week long summer vacation!
Other good news of the day: 2 days until I'm in KANSAS! I love that place.
