Life Lately

Once upon a time last week, we babysat 5 extra kids. It was SO fun and Milo loved having 5 new friends! Their house was very baby proof, thank goodness!!

He's getting pretty good at self feeding! Not so much go go squeeze though. That ended up all over him and his friend's chair.
I think I know what Milo needs for his first birthday (which I kind of cry about daily right now. How is he almost 1???). Duplos! He loves them so much.
Milo found the lunch box stash. So many containers to put so many things in and move them around!
He also found the water bottles. So he filled them with Legos.
AND he got to play on a little rocket car. If you want to ever see something really cute that makes you want to melt, just put a little boy on a rocket car. Oh my gosh.
He cut 2 new teeth! Hello top teeth, and bye bye baby gums (sobbing again).
We have been having PERFECT weather. Milo loves swinging and I love it too!!

The Latest Milo-isms

He waves! He waves! Whenever someone says hello, he will be there waving his little arm like his life depended on it.
When we say, where's Momma? Where's Daddy? Where's your milk? HE KNOWS! My smart, smart boy :).
He's a total flirty heartbreaker. And he SO knows how to turn on the charm. He's learning all the smooth moves from his daddy :).

He loves drumming on things, playing with toys that aren't actually toys (not a new development), and walking. He also LOVES sneaking and playing peek a boo. Sometimes I catch him laughing at me from across the room because he found a funny hole to peek at me throughg. It's the best.
He likes to give me open mouth kisses. And I am very ok with it. My LOVE!
Motherhood is officially a good workout. I wake up with sore shoulders and forearms from crawl tag, sore arms and back from holding him on my hip all day, and sore buns from squatting with him in my arms. Nothing I'd rather be sore from than picking up this little munch all day long.
I am such a fun mom. I think of the best toys for Milo. Such as spoons and formula canisters.

Happy As A Clam

I love this little guy. He has the most happy little temperament ever. The other day, I gave him my spoon and empty yogurt cup to play with and I'm not kidding, he fake ate air out of it for like an hour and a half. When he finds something he really likes, he plays and looks over at me for a smile every minute or so, then goes back to playing. Then he comes over and shows me, and we talk, and off he goes again on more adventures. I love being the reassuring mommy and that he likes me around!

He loves being held and carried around. Baby on my hip all day is just the very best thing. Also I'm getting some serious guns.
He loves to walk and is always just SO proud of himself! We like walking out to the mailbox. He LOVES being outside and going on the swings.
Again with the spoons, and the growling, and those 2 little teeth!
And scooting his little train around. It is so cute that he's figuring out how to play and interact and be funny. I could sneak crawl and say boo ALL day.
We like to go shopping and wandering, and he loves sitting in his stroller (and then decides in a split second that he is done, so then I carry him around), and he loves standing in the cart. He smiles at EVERYONE. He does like to get a little bashful now, and hide his face in my neck. I will take him out every day for that one second if he'll keep it up!

When he wakes up, he likes to stand in his crib and sing little songs and talk about everything until I come get him. There's a mirror on the door that he can see me in, and I like to sneak around the corner and watch him until he spies me. And then he smiles HUGE and I hold him hostage in the rocking chair for at least 2 minutes.

Love my happy little munch.
