21st Birthday was fabulous! :)

Rambling

I get to teach the little tiny kids in church now! Best life ever. I am SO so so so excited!!!

Today, I tripped while I was running. And this was not just a stumble. I fell and skinned my knee. Embarrassing. I sat on the sidewalk hanging my head in shame for a few seconds, looked around to make sure nobody saw me, and headed on my way. Then I almost got hit by like 6 cars. I promise I look both ways.

I have been having the. weirdest. dreams. lately. One involved Bruce Willis being my neighbor. One involved going swimming in a huge bathtub as big as a room. Also- I keep waking up being really confused. It takes a few seconds to figure out where I am and what my life is. Pretty entertaining.

I'm a little in love with this watch. Online shopping is dangerous. But hey, a girl can dream, right?

Three words: Words With Friends. My brother and I have had an ongoing scrabble game going for a day and a half now. We have to get good so that we can play the king of scrabble someday... a.k.a. Trevor.

My birthday is in 2 days! Here I come, horizontal license! Except not. I'm not renewing my license until I absolutely have to (not that it wasn't super fun to go to the DMV in Las Vegas 4 times last summer).

The flower shop by my house had a sign today that said "keep ur shawty happy". Seriously almost sold me on a dozen.

Trevor and I have this thing where we like to meet halfway when the other is walking home. I love it. I love him.

Sunday it was raining, and I really didn't want to get my hair wet (it was straightened and that is a rare occurrence in the summer). So Trevor dearest came to the rescue with a trash bag for a poncho. That man is so brilliant!

My Favorite Week

Whatever week out of the year contains the days of June 21st and June 24th is always my favorite.
Reasons being:
June 21st is the longest day of the year. The first day of summer.
Not so far into the warm days that you feel like they're ending anytime soon.
I love the time of year when I can go outside at night barefoot in shorts and a t shirt
and still feel warm from being in the sun all day
smelling like chlorine because I'm living at the pool
opening the windows at night
and go on night walks with my guy
and go sit on swings until late
and look at the stars
and see fireflies
and watch lightning (ok maybe not those last two in Utah...).

And June 24th because it's MY BIRTHDAY!!!
I was soo meant to be a summer girl.
I love my birthday... I know that sounds conceited... but it's a fact of life.
I love the warm
and water
and a whole day just to be special.
And for real. Birthdays are a zillion times more fun when you're married.
Automatic hot date!!!

Week of June 21st and June 24th, please don't go by too fast.
(But a little fast is OK because my sister and her kids are coming soon after!!!!)
Which, by the way, I cannot wait for.
Cannot.
Guys, I love my sister!!

Oh, and we just had summer break! From Friday to Sunday!

I feel so rejuvenated and ready to start back tomorrow (not). 

It was nice sleeping though, and we had such a fun relaxing weekend.

But, my new classes will be soo much better than the ones I just finished.

To the classes I just finished... thanks for showing me what getting your booty kicked by classes feels like. I'm glad I'm alive to tell the tale, with hopefully decent grades to show for it.

As for my college career... I am DONE with the hard classes! From here on out, I have 5 classes that I'm pumped for and 1 internship that {I have yet to land, but} should be fun.

There and Back

Memorial Day weekend + Las Vegas = Happiness!

Words cannot describe how nice it was to
1. Pretend we weren't in school for a few days
2. Play with my fam! And hold BABY DEXTER!!!
3. Experience being warm and being outside simultaneously
... and then I blinked, and we were back in Provo sitting in class.
Fortunately for the world, I came back a few shades darker and my hair .00002 shades lighter (operation lemon juice has officially begun)... well rested... and it was a fabulous weekend!
The baby blessing was so great and I'm so glad we could be there for it!
Otherwise, highlights of the weekend included:
Thor
Playing with baby Dex and getting more baby hungry by the second
Laying out
Getting sunburned
Shopping with the sistas
Strawberry Mentos- my latest candy obsession?

Spending 5 hours straight with Trevor in the car... loved it.
